The French Molkky doubles championship will be held on 8 and 9 June 2024 in Bordeaux!

A national sport: Molkky

Mölkky was created in Finland in 1996, reminiscent of kyykkä, an ancestral game from Karelia. Mölkky arrived in western France around ten years later and is now widely played throughout the country, both as a sport for family and friends and in competition.

The French Open will be held in Bordeaux

Get ready for two exceptional days of play, conviviality and competition in the heart of the city of Bordeaux, on the famous Place des Quinconces, 12 years after the first edition was held there!

2024 programme

Saturday 8th June

• 9am: Opening of the site and start of registration
• 10am: End of registration 10.15am: Welcome address
• 10.30am: First round of the French Open
• 7.30pm: End of the first round of the French Open
• Throughout the day: entertainment, challenges, concerts

Sunday 9th June

• 8.30am: Second round of the French Open and Consolante
• 11.45am: Round of 32 (2 winning sets)
• 12.45pm: Round of 16 (2 winning sets)
• 13:30: Round of 8 (2 winners)
• 2.30pm: 1⁄4 final (3 heats)
• 3.45pm: 1⁄2 final (3 winning sets)
• 5pm: Final (3 winning heats)
• 6pm: Prize-giving and closing ceremony
