Chahuts returns June 7-15!
A festival of the spoken word and public space, CHAHUTS brings the Saint-Michel and Benauge districts of Bordeaux to life with an offbeat program of artistic adventures that are joyful, rebellious, grandiose or intimate, but certainly collective! For this 33rd edition, CHAHUTS explores the question of what is or isn't the norm, and our ability to free ourselves from it, to tame it, to meet it. Because from the borderline to the mildly insane, from the eccentric to the defector, from the zany to the strange, from the out-of-frame to the extra-ordinary... there are so many ways to be outside the norm!
A rich program
Join us from June 7 to 15, 2024 to discover 38 artistic proposals (27 of which are free) for theater (Laurène Marx, Compagnie Bougrelas), storytelling (La Cour des Contes, Lamine Diagne), poetry (Treize, carte blanche at the Maison de la poésie), dance (Compagnie Drisse, Mickaël Phelippeau) and music (the grand bal RITA RITA by parti Collectif with Rita Macedo and numerous dj sets)... From Jardin Dorignac to Parc Pinçon, from Place Saint-Michel to Les Capucins, from Marché des Douves to Square Dom Bedos, there's heckling going on everywhere, all the time... In short, CHAHUTS is a promise of discovery, unique encounters, heightened emotions and moments of celebration and togetherness!
