As if to mark the start of summer, the National Music Day takes place every June 21, and throughout the Bordeaux metropolis. The full program can be found a few weeks before the event.

Must-see venues for the National Music Day in Bordeaux
Coming to party in Bordeaux on June 21 also means (re)discovering the destination's must-see venues. It's not uncommon to find brand-new concerts in front of the famous Grand Théâtre or to be able to enjoy several dj sets along the quays, on the side of the Place de la Bourse or the Quai des Sports. Bordeaux's art of living also means strolling from stage to stage between the Place des Quinconces and the Palais Rohan.

As the evening of June 21 is synonymous with increased footfall in Bordeaux, several regulations are being put in place by the city to protect visitors:

- Changes to streetcar and bus timetables.
- Mandatory use of plastic containers when selling drinks.
