Château de La Rivière
Château de la Rivière was built in 1577 on the remains of a fortified encampment raised by Charlemagne. It was restored in the 19th century under the eye of a group of renowned architects including Viollet Le Duc. Its 3 hectares of underground cellars are an ideal setting for
maturing the wines it produces. The château’s grounds are open to all. The five Gîtes de France Bacchus 4 épis B&B rooms were awarded the golf “Best Of” award for wine tourism in 2007, in the “Accommodation” category.
Sustainable approachThe Wine Chateau de La Rivière is certified High Environmental Value Level 3, ISO 14001, has joined the charter Natura 2000 and has been a member of the pilot group CSR from the Interprofessional Council of Bordeaux Wine.
