Château de La Rivière

Best Of Wine Tourism, Vignobles et découvertes

Château de la Rivière was built in 1577 on the remains of a fortified encampment raised by Charlemagne. It was restored in the 19th century under the eye of a group of renowned architects including Viollet Le Duc. Its 3 hectares of underground cellars are an ideal setting for
maturing the wines it produces. The château’s grounds are open to all. The five Gîtes de France Bacchus 4 épis B&B rooms were awarded the golf “Best Of” award for wine tourism in 2007, in the “Accommodation” category.
