No more need to get lost in the jungle of labels, we've grouped eco-certified tourism and events players around a single distinction.
Nearly 250 tourism and events players in the Bordeaux metropolis hold a certification or label recognizing their actions in favor of the environment, and often also in terms of inclusion and accessibility. These actions have been audited by independent bodies. As it is sometimes difficult to find one's way around, we have made it easier to read with a single sticker, while ensuring that the approach is taken seriously.
Award criteria
The players listed are all members of the Bordeaux Métropole Convention and Visitors Bureau. They hold a valid certification or label including commitments covering at least the environmental pillar, and if possible also the societal pillar of sustainable development, issued by an independent body.
Panel of recognized certifications: Green Key, Ecolabel européen, Ecocert, Affichage environnemental (notes A et B), ISO 14001, ISO 20121, EnVol, label ATES, Lucie Progress, Lucie 26000 ou Lucie Positive, GreenFood Label, Ecotable, les éco-défis de la CCI, NF Environnement, validation du Programme d'excellence de la restauration de l'ADEME, Prestadd, Travelife, Engagé RSE AFNOR, Haute Qualité Environnementale (HQE).
As far as wine châteaux are concerned, we add to the Vignobles et Découvertes label (which guarantees a quality welcome to the property) at least one of the approaches recognized by the Conseil interprofessionnel du vin de Bordeaux (CIVB): Cultivons Demain, Agriculture biologique, Demeter, Terra Vitis, Biodyvin, Zéro résidus de pesticides, Agri confiance, AREA and HVE3.
