The city is packed with skate spots: whether they're made for it or not. On the "official" side, it's impossible not to mention the Chartrons skatepark. By 2022, this emblem of Bordeaux skate culture had undergone a facelift to return even bigger and better adapted to the many different ways in which skateboarding is practiced in Bordeaux. An architectural and cultural project covering 2,375 sq.m., making it one of the largest street areas in France!

The zoom Skatepark, a venue dedicated to skateboarding

The Zoom Skatepark is a new venue dedicated to skateboarding and its culture. Managed by the board-o association, this 300m2 indoor skatepark is dedicated to all levels. The venue offers skateboarding classes for children or adults, as well as free practice slots. Events also punctuate the program.

Darwin, the largest indoor skatepark

Skate events in Bordeaux

Vibrations Urbaines is THE local skate festival. Held in Pessac, competitions in all disciplines, arts and music are on the program: the annual not-to-be-missed event. On the pure skate side, there's also Le Grand Air, an international big ramp skateboarding competition organized for the past 5 years. Last but not least, the Connect festival has also established itself over the past few years in the Bordeaux metropolis, with a new program of events every year.
