The CIVB (Bordeaux Wine Council) founded the Bordeaux Wine School in 1989, driven by a desire to share their passion for Bordeaux wine with the wider public. Located in an 18th century building in the heart of the city, the Bordeaux Wine School welcomes everyone who wishes to learn more about viticulture, winemaking, and the diverse range of Bordeaux wines.
Here, our accredited tutors are not only teachers, but also winegrowers, enologists, and cellar masters who wish to share their expertise and lifestyle in the Bordeaux wine region.

Bordeaux Wine School hold numerous workshops: lasting from two hours to an entire day, ranging from beginner to specialist level, for an introduction or total immersion into the 65 appellations, not forgetting the flagship wine and cheese pairing. There is something for everyone! Classes start at €32 (student rates available).
All summer the school equally offer fun one-hour workshops to discover the art of tasting, in French or in English.
