Château de La Dauphine

AB - Agriculture Biologique, Best Of Wine Tourism, Vignobles et découvertes

Le Château de La Dauphine, owned by the Labrune family, is the 2nd largest vineyard of Fronsac with around 130 acres conducted with the organic & biodynamic farming. The name is linked with royalty: Marie-Josèphe de Saxe, Dauphine of France so princess, stayed at the estate in the 18th century. She was the mother of one of the last kings of France, Louis XVI.

By appointment, you can visit and discover the park, the vines, the inside of the château built in 1750 and the very modern technical facilities including the vat room with gravity-fed tanks. The only one in Bordeaux ! At the end the best part, the tasting of our wines. Still by appointment you can also experience having lunch at the estate. It can be a fancy meal inside the château, a casual meal around the infinity pool or a picnic on the hills surrounded by vines with a panoramic view on Fronsac.

The estate won 3 gold awards (“Best of Or”) for its winetourism at the contest Best of Wine Tourism: “Architecture & Landscapes” 2014 and “Food service” in 2016 and “sustainable wine tourism practices” in 2018.
