Bordeaux by bike: tailor your visit

To make the most of Bordeaux, pick up a bicycle and discover the city by pedaling with the wind in your hair. With its 1400 km of cycling paths, including over 330 in Bordeaux, the Bordeaux metropolis is easy and fun to explore by bike.

The Bordeaux Tourist Office has even been designated as a "Accueil Vélo" establishment, which notably guarantees cyclists to be within 5 km of a cycle route or to benefit from information dispensed by advisors. Here’s an overview of the various guided tours in Bordeaux and its surroundings with our partners.

A themed ride with Bordeaux Bike Expérience

Taking a short bike ride is fun. Taking a short bike ride while cultivating and/or dining is even better! Launched by three travelers, Bordeaux Bike Experience has dusted off the concept of "biclou" tours. Several tours have been created, including "Bordeaux essentiel", the "Grand Tour" and the "The Tour where you are the hero", which allows you to design your own tour - led by a guide - choosing a story or image at each stop. The creators' aim? To present Bordeaux differently and involve local players, between wine tastings and lunch breaks, city-center pavements and Saint-Emilion vineyards! Experience unusual tours of 15 to 25 km in the company of exciting guides who will reveal everything about the region in French, English or Spanish.

Bordeaux Bike Tour: day and night

Happy to get you out on bike paths early in the morning, Bordeaux Bike Tours offers tours in French or English… by night! This is your chance to access places typically less bike-friendly, like the famous Rue Sainte Catherine, Europe’s longest pedestrian street, swarmed by pedestrians during the day. Passionate about Bordeaux, the guide leads cycling enthusiasts on three distinct bike routes, suitable for all ages and catering to wine connoisseurs, architecture lovers, and nature admirers alike.
