Château La Gontrie

To Saint-Caprais-de-Bordeaux, on the right bank of the Garonne, Château La Gontrie was formerly a relay where the diligences made stage on the road of Bordeaux or Santiago de Compostela.
In 1984, Jean-Louis Rives and his Australian wife, Nola, acquire it and cultivate since these 2 hectares of vineyards of the Entre-Deux-Mers. Around a beautiful court, several buildings in stones were transformed into three furnished holiday cottages tastefully. Surrounded with wood and with vineyards, the property is an ideal island of tranquillity for the holidays. Even the swimming pool becomes integrated into the landscape.
