Piscine municipale du Grand Parc

Completely renovated and transformed in 2007 with glass, natural wood, turquoise, green, yellow and a reticulated façade (Cours de Luze), the Grand-Parc swimming pool underwent further renovations in 2024 (refurbishment work).

Completely rebuilt to High Environmental Quality (HQE) standards over a total area of 4,132 m², it has been completely refurbished. It is exemplary in terms of the environment. The requirements cover water management, energy, upkeep, maintenance, acoustic comfort and hygrothermal comfort. Solar panels installed on the roof produce 50% of the electricity needed to cover the hot water requirements.

This swimming pool is the first in the region to be equipped with a surveillance assistance system to prevent drowning. Using cameras, a system continuously analyses the behaviour of swimmers. If one of them sinks, an alarm is triggered within 10 seconds and the swimmer's position is displayed on a board to facilitate the intervention of lifeguards.

Various facilities and services are available: a 25-metre pool, 1 teaching pool, 1 counter-current river, 1 bubble bench, 1 paddling pool with water games, 1 solarium... It offers a wide range of aquatic activities for children, teenagers, adults and seniors.

The Grand Parc swimming pool has also been adapted for people with physical or mental disabilities: access ramp, entry terminal avoiding the need to pass through the turnstiles, changing rooms, showers, toilets and a system for getting into the leisure pool or sports pool.
