Art galleries & antique shops

Most of Bordeaux's antique dealers and bric-a-brac shops are located around rue Bouffard in the city centre, as well as on Place Saint-Michel (which has a more bohemian atmosphere). Shops with an even wider selection are also found on and near rue Notre Dame in the Chartrons district.  Many art galleries have also set up on rue Notre Dame in recent years, and this has become an ideal neighbourhood in which to bargain hunt or simply enjoy a stroll.
