Réserve naturelle nationale des Marais de Bruges

In Bruges, on the outskirts of Bordeaux, this 265-hectare area is a relic of the "Grands Marais de Bordeaux-Bruges". The diversity of its biotopes - wet meadows, hedged farmland and ponds - supports a rich fauna and flora (3,500 species). In particular, it is an ideal staging, wintering and nesting area for both migratory and sedentary avifauna. A 2.4 km discovery trail with 3 observatories takes you through part of the reserve.
The site is open every day except Thursdays and Fridays.
To get to the reserve, take streetcar C and get off at the Frankton stop. It's just 1 km south of Blanquefort, along the Avenue fleurie du 11 Novembre (14-minute walk).
Once a month, the SEPANSO association organizes a free guided tour for the public.
