Romeo and Juliet, the dance show
5 - 31 December
Discover the Bordeaux National Opera's event show for the 2025-2026 season.
The most famous tragedy at the Opéra de Bordeaux
- When the hostility between Montague and Capulet prevents a love story from coming to light, passion and violence boil over in the streets of Verona. Tragedy quickly ensues. First performed in 1991 to Prokofiev's iconic music, this production by Moricone and Gable was a resounding success. A faithful interpretation of Shakespeare's work, it renders the drama tightly and dynamically, alternating between passionate, lyrical pas de deux and scenes in which the various clans evolve in an atmosphere as festive as it is threatening. Carried by the dancers of the Ballet de l'Opéra de Bordeaux, the most intense and romantic ballet in the repertoire is ready to captivate a new generation of spectators!
