A fairytale opera in Bordeaux in 2026

A veritable fairytale opera, The Magic Flute constantly plays on the alternation between two worlds: real and unreal, spoken and sung, shadow and light, man and divinity, good and evil... Faced with the three ages of existence, the hero Tamino learns the trials of life and wins the love of Pamina, thwarting the hold of the famous Queen of the Night with her dizzying high notes. Julien Duval's new staging plunges us into a magical universe where nature takes its rightful place, rediscovering the lightness of the fable while leading us towards harmony between man and the elements.
