Doux Jesus – DJ set
Instinctive rather than demonstrative DJ, Benoit Guerinault (aka Doux Jesus) digs the furrows of an indocile music: moist post-punk, mutant electro, wobbly pop, forgotten archives and contemporary curiosities. With him, the tempo is never neutral—it is charged, crossed, inhabited. He tells stories without microphones, prefers collision to clean transition, and cultivates the incident.
Benoît Guerinault is one of those who prefer margins to straight lines. Artistic director and programmer of IBOAT and the association TRAFIC, he has been shaping in Bordeaux since the 90s a vision of nightlife where electric and electronic music become a field of experimentation, friction and sometimes soft chaos. Against the current of programming and playlists under algorithmic perfusion, he defends a sensitive approach to creation, a space where identities are re-composed.
9:00 pm – 11:45 pm
Faeries Records and guests: Fatale Furylax, L.FRX et sensit1ve – DJ set
As part of the exhibition Chambres, ghosts et digitales, Færies Records was entrusted with the programming of a musical set. Created by the artist Lou Fauroux and DJ Jennifer Constantine, Færies is a multidisciplinary project that aims to go beyond the boundaries between electronic music (experimental, avant-garde, electronic, queer, ambient...) and transversal artistic practices; a hybrid space for experimentation and creation integrating sound and music. For this event, the label invites Fatale Furylax, L.FRX and sensit1ve, for a program mixing experimental bass music and ambient nappes.
