FOLLOWING A WIDELY ACCLAIMED FIRST EDITION, CONNECT RETURNS TO BORDEAUX FROM OCTOBER 16 TO 19, 2025.
CONNECT, the international festival dedicated to skate culture, its relationship with urbanism, and the development of its artistic and cultural dimensions, returns for its second edition from October 16 to 19, 2025, in Bordeaux, France.
On the program: exhibitions, talks, premieres, workshops, concerts, skateable sculptures, and urban skate sessions. The festival brings together international skate culture figures, activists, researchers, and professionals from various fields.
THE ORIGINS OF CONNECT
The CONNECT festival was born from the belief that skateboarding transcends cultural boundaries and creates a unique connection between individuals—whether they are passionate skaters or complete newcomers.
After seven years of collective effort, the City of Bordeaux and its skateboarding community successfully legalized skateboarding across all public spaces. This movement led to real and visible changes: the development of cultural events, the installation of skate-friendly urban furniture, and the opening of new public spaces designed with skaters in mind.
CONNECT is an opportunity to come together around current urban and cultural issues, to reflect on the future of our cities, and to celebrate skate culture. The goal is to make it a yearly gathering that addresses different themes, potentially moving from city to city, to highlight skateboarding and its artistic and cultural impact.
