Located quai Louis XVIII, La Belle Epoque is a beautiful traditional brasserie. If you like good food in an authentic setting, you will be pleasantly surprised!

In the second half of the nineteenth century, while the port and river activities thrive comfortably, a charming hotel borned on the Allées d'Orléans, at the corner of Quai Louis XVIII and the Esplanade des Quinconces: Hôtel de Nantes.

It was a business place for the traders, merchants, bankers and businessmen to discuss together, and then find great wines, exchange about goods and opera.

Today, the hotel has become the traditional restaurant La Belle Epoque, where one can find a creative cuisine, refined, combining traditional and contemporary dishes. The terrace is pleasant in summer.

The decor of the blue tiled room Bordeaux is a stop

Jules Vieillard succeeds David Johnston in 1845. Its action is crucial to the commercial success of the manufacture of pottery Bordeaux but also in the artistic quality of a production that was unanimously celebrated at the Universal Exhibitions hence the name commonly given to these earthenware "Vieillard."

In 1865, his sons took after him and produce a wide variety of reasons, especially rich with flowers and birds. The walls of the main hall of the restaurant La Belle Epoque, are decorated with these tiles. The factory closed in 1895.
