Trailblazing Bordeaux : Where to get your fitness fix !

Bordeaux Métropole is making 18 new routes available for trail running, Nordic walking and gravel riding, coupled with an application that guides users in real time, ‘On Piste’. This application was developed by the Rossignol Group, specialists in outdoor sports.

An open air sports app

This digital experience was launched by the city in partnership with the Rossignol Group to accompany users as they take to these new routes, when trail running, Nordic walking or gravel riding. What it means is that this mobile app guides users while simultaneously providing important information linked to their progress along the route: level of difficulty, services, points of interest, temporary bans due to weather.

On Piste aims to develop sports tourism while inciting users to discover the area. This project could be extended as and when new routes are added. Sports enthusiasts are reminded that Bordeaux Métropole inaugurated the first metropolitan GR in France (160 km) and marked out a ‘Bordeaux Unesco’ trail in 2020, as well as publishing ‘Super balades’ walking maps and cycling maps for the ‘Territoire Vélo’ routes.
