At the foot of La Cité du Vin, with its iconic amazing architecture, climb aboard for a tasting cruise upon the Garonne River to discover the city of Bordeaux and its famous “Port of the Moon”.
Its magnificent 18th-century facades, its wide quays perfect for strolling, its ever popular Miroir d’Eau reflecting pool… Admire the capital of Gironde in a whole new light.
While enjoying an introductory tasting of Bordeaux wines and delving into the city’s fascinating history, with its legends and illustrious figures, pass under the bridges, catching a glimpse of the wild, authentic Gironde Estuary in the distance.
04.15 pm: Meet at Ponton Cité du Vin quai de Bacalan in Bordeaux.
04.30 pm: Departure. Guided cruise along the 18th-century facades of the “Port of the Moon”, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Pass under the Jacques Chaban-Delmas lift bridge then the Pont d’Aquitaine bridge, and turn around after the village of Lormont, off the Bassens port zone.
On board, tasting of 2 wines with a wine expert.
06.00 pm: return to the quay at La Cité du Vin.
