Tèrra Aventura: outdoor treasure hunts
Terra Aventura offers 7 itineraries in the Bordeaux metropolitan area. In the form of a treasure hunt following the concept of geocaching, Terra Aventura allows you to combine heritage discovery, hiking, and challenges, with several hundred route possibilities all over Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Here in Lormont, Gradignan, Cenon, Floirac, Pessac, and recently in Eysines and Saint-Médard-en-Jalles, you can enjoy a fun, free, and outdoor discovery experience!
Discover the region while having fun
Using a mobile app, this treasure hunt takes you on a discovery tour of local heritage gems and on some beautiful walks. The idea: the player (from 7 to 77 years old) has to solve a series of riddles along the trail, leading you to the final cache – and the treasure! – which signals the end of your quest. Colourful characters, “Poï’z”, accompany you on your walk, and they have plenty of stories to tell!
Routes in the Bordeaux metropolitan area (and across the region)
Created in 2011 in Limousin, Tèrra Aventura has rapidly expanded throughout the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, and now offers 600 different routes regionwide.
The seven trails found in the Bordeaux area – in Lormont, Gradignan, Cenon, Floirac, Pessac, Eysines et Saint-Médard-en-Jalles – each have their own difficulties and their own theme; Lormont’s theme is the water, Gradignan’s is Santiago de Compostela, Cenon's theme is forestry, Floirac and Saint-Médard-en-Jalles' is views and nature, Pessac's is animals and Eysines' is gastronomy.
