19 and 20 September
Vertical dance creation Compagnie Tango Nomade on the façade of La MÉCA
Between contemporary dance and visual arts, this Air Ballet is designed for four dancers using a technique borrowed from Alpine explorers. While the spectators finish settling in, the dancers take over the top of the building like figures from the prow of a boat and become sculptures adorning the building's façade. Little by little, the dancers take over the façade with the help of rope technicians invisible to the spectators. They perform a static choreography and then let themselves be carried along by the rope, which holds them in an intense and vertiginous ballet to link acrobatics and other aerial figures.
With this performance, on the façade of La MÉCA, Tango Nomade invites the audience to a moment of pure poetry.
Tango Nomade is a company with cross-disciplinary activities, from tango to vertical dance, including circus and dance arts. Tango Nomade does not refrain from leaving the dance floors or theatre stages to take over the façades of buildings, station halls, public squares, woods, to transform them into a ballroom. Anchored in the values of sharing and conviviality, the company's creations are aimed at all audiences, all generations.
