Explore the charming medieval village of Saint-Emilion and its vineyard which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After a tour and tasting at a prestigious winery, you’ll enjoy another wine tasting in the village and learn about wines from nearby areas such as Pomerol, Montagne Saint-Emilion, and Fronsac. We’ll finish the afternoon on a tasty note at a family-owned winery where you’ll be offered delicious local specialties such as cheeses and cured meats that complement the wines – Perfect for a French aperitif!
1:20 p.m.: Meet your guide in front of the Bordeaux Office de Tourisme.
1:30 p.m.: Departure to Saint-Emilion. Along the way, your guide will tell you about Bordeaux’s vineyards and you’ll see some of the region’s quintessential landscapes.
2:30 p.m.: Tour of a ‘Grand Cru’ or ‘Grand Cru classé’ winery learning the various stages of the winemaking process, seeing a wine cellar dug into the rock. Wine tasting.
3:45 p.m.: Arrival in the village of Saint-Emilion, short guided walk along the charming streets and wine tasting at a wine cellar (on request only).
4:45 p.m.: Tour of a family-owned winery, wine tasting with local food specialties, the ultimate French aperitif!
6:45 p.m.: Back to Bordeaux in front of the Office de Tourisme.
The tour might end in the village depending on wineries availibilities.
