Château La Haye is classified as a Cru Bourgeois since 1932 and it is one of the oldest wine estates of Saint Estèphe. Chateau La Haye stayed in the same family for 370 years.

You will also discover its vineyard, dating of 1557 for the first vine, with a part of the vineyard in front of the Château. It is a historic house full of charms and legends that opens you its doors. The history tells that it was the place for the date of Henri II and Diane de Poitiers after their hunting party. The royal monogram H & D interleaved is so carved in the stone of the Chateau and it decorates now the label of our wines.

Its vineyard of 19, 5ha benefits from the exceptional terroir of Saint Estèphe, composed of gravels and limestone. The precious advices of our oenologist Eric Boissenot accompany our technical team in a way to produce, each year, wines characterised by a continuity and fidelity of prestige and excellence.

It was during the famous Medoc marathon that Chris Cardon, the current owner, discovered the region. So he decided to buy Château La Haye in 2012. His aim is to enable the vintage to reveal the best expression of the terroir and cep varieties, caracteristic of the appellation – 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 5% Petit Verot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1% Malbec.
